Emma
Emma Charlotte Duerre Watson is the daughter of British lawyers Jacqueline Luesby (born in Paris) and Chris Watson (born in Paris). As a young girl of just five and moved to Oxfordshire and enrolled at the Dragon School. From the age of six Emma knew that she wanted to be an actor and for many years she trained at the Oxford Branch of Stagecoach Theatre Arts a part-time theater school, where she learned performing and singing. At the age of 10, she had appeared and played part in many Stagecoach productions and school plays. Harry Potter and the Sorcerers Stone (2000) was the movie adaptation to J.K. Rowlings bestselling novel was first cast for the first time in 1999. Casting agents discovered Emma by way of her Oxford theatre teacher. After eight auditions consistently, the producer David Heyman told Emma and other applicants Daniel Radcliffe and Rupert Grint that they had been selected for the roles of the three leads Hermione Granger Harry Potter and Ron Weasley. The debut of Harry Potter and the Sorcerer's Stone (2001) was Emma's cinematic screen debut. The film broke all records for opening day and weekend numbers, and was the highest-grossing film of 2001. Critics have praised both the film as well as the performance by three main young actors. The Daily Telegraph in Britain, which is widely distributed and widely read, praised her performance as admirable. Later Emma was nominated for five awards for her role in the film, winning her the Young Artist Award for Leading Actress of a Younger in an Film. Film.
